The object of DOTS is to create boxes by drawing lines between the points. If you complete a box you receive a point and you get to go again.
| Key : Function | |
|---|---|
| H | Pulls up Help Screen. |
| Esc | Ends game. |
| Enter | Ready to draw line. |
| S | Switch players. |
Arrow keys move marker until you press Enter. After pressing Enter, press an arrow key to draw a line on corresponding side of marker. You may also use `Diagonal' keys to move marker — Q E Z C, or 7 9 1 3 on the number pad.
On a touch screen, tap the gap between two dots to draw that line, or tap a box to move the marker there.
Logged in? Fill lines on the setup screen draws random lines first, never three sides of a box, so you can start playing when it's juicy.
Logged-in players can seat up to 6 at an internet game. The turn goes round the table, and the game starts once every seat is taken. 4 players need a board at least 6 x 6; 5 or 6 need 7 x 7.
